University of the Philippines Oblation 2013.

SHORT DISCUSSION:

The Oblation Run or Ritual Dance of the Brave is an annual event held by several Filipino chapters of Alpha Phi Omega in different universities in the Philippines. The event first organized in 1977 at University of the Philippines Diliman to promote Hubad na Bayani, a film.It was title after the statue,a statue of a nude man located in every University of the Philippines (UP) campus, they made it as sort of selfless offering  the country.This event is usually held during the 16th day of December serve as protest for a certain local and national isues. 

A participants usually members of the Alpha Phi Omega with the number of 24 average of the members.

THE NEWS!

                    Just this December 13 FRIDAY of the year 2013 the University Of The Philippines (UP) Cebu chamber,students held this annual event as a protest of a increasing school payment and those issues affecting their studies especially the budget matter.Commonly,males who attended this event and those who are nude keep on shouting "EDUCATION IS NOT FOR SALE!""QUIT THOSE BLAME GAME!" at the same time many of the women also screaming beside the provided lane with their sword words as a support. Estimated numbers of 1300 individuals who came from the different UP chambers just to attend.The reason behind is that to "Abolish" the pork barrel,and to make lower tuition's for the colleges students so that they can graduate with out any hindrances.

                    At the same point the media were busy doing their task to finish,some are made a shoots,some took captures of nude men and few are having their spiels for TV reports. According to one student it was their pleasures for media supported them.It was a big help,when the news with their voices will be heard by public.As a reward they gave thanks to media personnel.

it was my first time to attend the one of a kind protest where you can feel their desire and motivation to graduate.its really different. I do salute those who participate this activities especially those students in nude posture.It really mark in the history.
